Seamless Email Migration: Effortlessly Transfer Emails from Zoho to cPanel

Seamless Email Migration: Effortlessly Transfer Emails from Zoho to cPanel

cPanel Tutorial / May 20, 2023 / RKBarnwal / 0

If you’re using Zoho for your email and want to migrate your emails to cPanel, we’ve got you covered. To make the process smooth and hassle-free, here are the essential details we’ll need from you:

1. IMAP server name (Zoho): This is the server name specific to your Zoho account.
2. Zoho username and password: Provide us with your Zoho account username and the associated password.
3. New cPanel email address and password: Let us know the email address on your cPanel account where you’d like to migrate the emails, along with the password.

Before we dive into the Zoho to cPanel email migration, it’s important to ensure that IMAP access is enabled in your Zoho Panel. Follow these simple steps to enable it:

1. Log in to your Zoho email account.
2. Go to Settings, then navigate to Mail Accounts and select IMAP.
3. Tick the box to enable IMAP access.

Now, if you don’t have the imapsync tool installed already, you can quickly install it using the following command:

sudo yum install imapsync

Once imapsync is installed, you’re ready to start the migration process. Open the screen terminal and execute the command below:

imapsync --host1 imappro.zoho.in --port1 993 --ssl1 --user1 [email protected] --passfile1 /home/shnikarts/pass1 --host2 ray.herosite.pro --port2 993 --ssl2 --user2 [email protected] --passfile2 /home/shnikarts/pass2

Remember to replace “shnikarts” with your actual account username.

In the above command:
– `/home/shnikarts/pass1` refers to the file where you’ll store your Gmail account password.
– `/home/shnikarts/pass2` refers to the file where you’ll store your cPanel account password.

And that’s it! With these steps, you can easily migrate your emails from Zoho to cPanel.

We hope this guide has been helpful to you in understanding the email migration process. Should you have any further questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out to us. Happy migrating!
